Former England striker Michael Owen has slammed Manchester United’s three centre-backs after their 1-0 Premier League defeat to Spurs on Sunday.

Noussair Mazraoui, Harry Maguire and Matthijs de Ligt were deployed as a three-man defence at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with Owen heavily criticising each individual’s performance.
“The thing that annoys me more than anything แทงบอล UFABET ราคาดีที่สุด ไม่มีขั้นต่ำ about Manchester United is the centre-backs who don’t do anything during games,” Owen told Premier League Productions.
“None of them are able to handle their opponents at all. When you ask them to do something – block someone who is about to shoot – they don’t do that.”
“We saw a lot of clips in the first half where nobody was doing anything. Those three guys weren’t doing anything. They weren’t pushing forward. They weren’t moving to mark the opponent. They’re were just standing there.’
“In theory, it’s the easiest position on the pitch because they’re ask to do nothing. The manager brings in a bunch of defenders but no one marks them.”
“Manchester United’s midfield is the hardest position to play in the Premier League and the defence should be the easiest to break down because they don’t mark anyone, they just stay there.”
