Inter were defeated by Juventus in Turin and stay on 54 points in the standings, two points behind the leaders Napoli. It’s a bitter evening for the Nerazzurri who could’ve taken the lead on multiple occasions, even striking the post through Dumfries, before Conceçaio’s goal came in the 74th minute. Here are the the thoughts of Coach Simone Inzaghi at the end of the match:
“It’s a mix of regret and disappointment, but the players played very well, with courage, discipline and we should have put the ball in the back of the net. We should have been 1-0 up at half-time,” Inzaghi said.
“We didn’t start the second half the same way and then when we created another chance we conceded a goal to Conceicao. Of course we have to avoid that. We just have to work harder because what we were doing was not good enough.”
